Numbers above the light green bars in the upper panel comprise the total Haemophilus influenzae isolates found alone or with Streptococcus spp. (mostly S. pneumoniae). The numbers of mixed infections were as follows: 24, 24, 9, 15, 6, 2, 4, 6, 0, and 0, respectively. Hib, H. influenzae type b.
