Frequency of various underlying chronic illnesses among 173 children with invasive pneumococcal disease. The category "malignancy" excluded hematopoetic malignancies, which are included in the leukemia category. Organ transplant includes both solid organ and bone marrow transplants. CSF is cerebrospinal fluid.
